Hendrik Silalahi graduated from the Faculty of Law, at the University of Indonesia in 1997.   As the co-founder and managing partner of William & Hendrik Law Office (previously known as William Hendrik Esther), Hendrik is experienced in the Indonesian general corporate sector as well as various merger and acquisition transactions, capital markets and investments, insurance and financial institutions, dispute resolutions, taxation, and aviation law. Hendrik also handles various corporate transactions including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) in multiple industries.
Prior to establishing W&H, Hendrik started his career with one of the “Big Four” accounting and financial advisory firms, before joining one of the biggest law firms in Jakarta and other multinational companies in Indonesia. He was also the general counsel and corporate secretary at some of Indonesia’s largest listed companies in their respective industries.   His background in various industrial fields, as well as local and cross-border transactions, also enriches Hendrik’s experience and expertise in managing a variety of legal transactions and disputes.
For the third year in a row, W&H received awards from HukumOnline.com for transactions by legal consulting firms based on their total number of projects or IPO transactions. In 2021, William & Hendrik was ranked first as a legal consultant based on the highest number of IPO transactions, and third place based on total IPO emission value, in 2020.   Hendrik is a member of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI), which allows him admittance to all the judicial courts in Indonesia. He is also a capital market lawyer licensed by the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK).   Apart from his professional activities, Hendrik is also active in various organizations and serves as the Deputy Chairperson of the Faculty of Law Alumni Association at the University of Indonesia.
