A licensed lawyer in Indonesia (Peradi/Indonesian Advocate Association), Kanya began her legal practice in 2009 and now concentrates her work on capital markets and general corporate clients. She advises national and foreign companies on Indonesian corporate and capital market law, corporate restructuring, debt restructuring and commercial matters, and also has considerable experience in land acquisition transactions.
In 2020, Kanya was involved in five IPO projects on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).
Prior to joining William & Hendrik, Kanya worked with another Indonesian law firm and was actively involved in several Government of Indonesia note and trust certificate issuances (Sovereign Sukuk Issuance) from 2013 to 2015.
As the legal counsel at a multinational company, Kanya was engaged in a water treatment plant project that is one of the Jakarta government’s utility and energy programs.
Kanya was also recognized as a “Next-Generation Lawyer” in 2020 by HukumOnline.com.
In 2009, Kanya earned her Bachelor’s degree with cum laude honors in Business and Economic Law from Atma Jaya Catholic University in only three years. She then received her Master’s degree, in Business and Economic Law, from the University of Indonesia in 2014.
