Rudy Kusmanto specialises in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and securities and has been a licensed lawyer (Peradi/Indonesian Advocate Association) in Indonesia since 1995. He is also a capital market lawyer licensed by the Indonesian OJK (Financial Service Authority).
Rudy advises clients from various industries in numerous types of local and multinational transactions and has broad experience relating to general corporate, foreign capital investment, fintech/digital economy, banking and finance, insurance and real estate/property.
Before joining W&H, Rudy worked with a major international law firm in Jakarta and one of the largest Indonesian law firms in the country. He was the General Counsel at a publicly listed property company, one of the largest multinational insurance companies and a well-known fintech (e-money) company in Indonesia.
Rudy has also been recognized by international legal publishers such as Chambers Asia, IFLR1000 and the Pacific Business Press (Asian In-House Handbook).
Rudy graduated from the University of Indonesia Faculty of Law in 1995 and received his Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law (LL.M program) in Philadelphia, the USA, in 2001.
